Offshore is the nation’s largest rooftop venue that sits on the third floor of Navy Pier’s Festival Hall at 1000 East Grand, and offers panoramic, unmatched views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline, providing a completely unique perspective not found anywhere else. This stunning, chic 36,000 sq. ft. all-seasons/all-weather venue offers Chicagoans a full-service luminous bar and world-class kitchen, with a 20,000 square foot Terrace, along with seven cozy fire pits, an entertainment and gaming area, and multiple large gathering spaces for social and corporate events, weddings, and much more.

The culinary team is lead by Executive Chef Michael Shrader. Shrader is a protégé of Jeremiah Tower who is credited as a pioneer in California cuisine.

The Chef

Culinary direction for Offshore is led by Executive Chef Michael Shrader, a protégé of Jeremiah Tower who is credited as a pioneer in California cuisine. Michael has previously served as Executive Chef for The N9NE Group, and was the Founder and Executive Chef at Urban Union Chicago. Chef focuses on seasonal, modern American cuisine with global influences served as small, shareable plates.

The Bar

Clay Livingston brings a love of crafting classic cocktails with uncommon ingredients to his role as Offshore’s Beverage Director. Clay is new to Chicago hailing from Louisville as former Partner and General Manager of Red Herring Lounge and Kitchen.

Offshore is led by Simon Downward an English native who has been at the forefront of London Elite Nightlife, Restaurant and Bar scene for the past two decades. Simon was the GM at notorious London celebrity hang outs Whisky Mist and Embargo 59 and most recently Chicago’s own Underground. With an exceptional eye for service and entertainment his team endeavor to bring you an all-round fantastic experience at Offshore.
